Minimally Invasive Hip Resurfacing Surgery - scenario..

Please note that where an MRSA test result has not been provided an oral swab for MRSA will be taken and surgery will take place once results have been received.

Should you test positive for MRSA the hospital will normally still be able to treat you but special precautions will be taken for your safety and the safety of others. If you suspect that you have any such infections please inform us beforehand.

Surgery takes place on Tuesday and Thursday's, consultations generally the day before. Separate consultations are available please ask for details.

Where MRSA or other infections are present the patient may still be treated following a corrective course of treatment. Please contact us for details.

Day 1	Sunday - arrive, settle in and relax in comfort with an overnight stay in the family B&B accommodation unit
Day 2	Monday - Consultation clinical workup & X-Rays with Dr De Ghent and overnight stay in family accommodation unit
Day 3	Tuesday - move to nursing ward visit by the Anaesthetist & prep for Surgery overnight stay in recovery ward
Day 4	Wednesday - Return to nursing ward, physiotherapy commences
Day 5	Thursday - Nursing ward stay & physiotherapy
Day 6	Friday - Nursing ward stay & physiotherapy
Day 7	Saturday - Nursing ward stay & physiotherapy
Day 8	Sunday - Nursing ward stay
Day 9	Monday - Nursing ward stay & physiotherapy
Day 10	Tuesday - Nursing ward stay & physiotherapy
Day 11	Wednesday - Post operative check & departure

Bilateral Minimally Invasive Hip Resurfacing Surgery - typical scenario.
